you do not have a MIL ID card anymore, then carry ‎your DD-214, VFW/American Legion card,

proof-of-service they will accept.  ‎

‎The following discounts are nationwide.  Some local franchises may
not be participating.  Credit

Veteran’s Day Discounts 2011
November 04, 2011 | Kate

Every year, companies across the US offer a wide varieties of deals and discounts in honor of
Veteran’s Day, 11 November.  This list will continue to be updated as I learn new information.
Please be sure to contact individual locations to verify hours and restrictions.  This is a nice
thing that companies do for the military and I hate to see it being turned into something negative
due to miscommunication or disagreements about documentation.  Each business gets to make
their own rules about what they consider acceptable identification in order to qualify for the
promotion.  Also, please be sure to tip on the pre-discount amount of the check.  Those servers
are working hard, too!

I’m just doing restaurants and other food items today, or else the post will be impossibly long.
Up next:  entertainment, shopping, and other goodies.

Restaurants

Abuelos Mexican Food – I can’t find confirmation of Abuelo’s deals online, so be sure to call
ahead. Contact information for individual locations can be found at the location list page.

active duty military eat free from a special seven item menu at Applebee’s on Veterans Day.

and hours vary based upon location. Acceptable forms of ID include U.S. Uniformed Services
